I’m so excited to kick off something new here at 50+ and Flourishing—our first Weekly Menopause Q&A.
This is your space to ask the questions that have been quietly (or not-so-quietly) swirling in your mind. The ones you might not bring up at the dinner table, the ones that keep you company at 3 a.m., or the ones you’ve wondered if anyone else is experiencing too.
Whether you’re navigating perimenopause, deep in the thick of it, or solidly postmenopausal, this series is for you. We’ll cover symptoms, strategies, what’s normal, what’s not, and—most importantly—how we can keep flourishing through it all.
No topic is off-limits.
Hot flashes and night sweats. Brain fog. Sleep that disappears. Mood swings that feel out of character. Joint aches. Changes in weight, energy, skin, hair, intimacy, or confidence. Questions about hormone therapy, lifestyle supports, or simply “Is this still happening to anyone else?”
Drop your questions in the comments below (or reply to this post if you’re seeing it on social). I’ll choose a few each week to answer thoughtfully, drawing on what I’ve learned as a nurse and as a woman living this chapter right alongside you. I’ll also weave in practical tips, gentle encouragement, and the reminder that you are far from alone.
This first week is all about opening the door. Tell me what’s on your mind. What’s one menopause-related question you’ve been holding onto? Or simply share which symptom has been the biggest surprise for you.
We’re asking the questions, sharing the truths together.
I can’t wait to hear from you.
With warmth and understanding,
Shanelle, RN
50+ and Flourishing 💕
